Placenta Encapsulation Services

The placenta is the only organ that the human body creates and then releases once its purpose has been fulfilled. This organ acts as baby’s lungs, kidneys, G.I., and it provides an immunological barrier that protects your baby in the womb.

At Birth Roots, we honor placentas and want to give you the space to do the same. Once born, a Birth Roots Placenta Encapsulation Specialist will retrieve your placenta and return it within 48 hours, encapsulated.

Frequently Asked Questions

A certified birth doula is a trained professional that supports a birthing family prenatally and through the entirety of the labor and delivery process. Your birth doula will provide you with emotional and physical support and will give you the confidence and information to make the best decision for your growing family Your doula will customize a birth plan with you so that your birth team can best support you and your preferences will be heard. When it’s time to have your baby, we’ll stay with you from active labor until first latch and beyond.

It’s never too late or too early in your pregnancy to retain doula services.

Studies consistently show that doula care is associated with shorter labors, less use of epidurals and other pain medications, lower episiotomy rates, and as much as a 50% reduction in cesarean births.

Research has also consistently shown better clinical outcomes for mom and baby, better breastfeeding rates, and better family bonding.

When you are ready to move forward with your birth doula, you can send your contract over with a 50% non-refundable deposit. Payment plans are available and highly customizable with the remaining balance due before the 37th week of your pregnancy.

A postpartum doula cares for the birthing family in the postpartum period providing informational, emotional, and physical support. Your doula will support you in infant feeding, lactation support, basic household tasks while you recover, sibling and pet care, and errands. We’re here to listen to your birth story and offer you gentle support. Our goal is to help you transition smoothly as you and the rest of your family meet your baby with confidence.

I'm so glad you're here.

I care so deeply about giving parents the confidence to trust their intuition, while pairing them with the tools to fill in the gaps along the way.
